Wildlife carers are an unrecognised national asset and they are largely self funded.

Carers volunteer their time and cover the financial burden as well as deal with the emotional strain.

Milk formulas are an expensive specialist supply. Feeding teats , bottles, heat mats and pouches are just a few of the many items a carer needs.

Enclosures and housing for wildlife are costly to erect and must be built to specific standards often differing dependant on the species.

The registered charity Friends of Summerleas Wildlife aims to raise funds to relieve some of this financial burden.

With your donation we purchase milk formulas that are distributed at no cost to wildlife carers.

With the help of generous donors and the sale of merchandise from this web site (and Salamanca market ) we were able to supply $1,754 worth of milk formula to wildlife carers throughout the state this latest Joey season. With money already set aside we are on target to help even more volunteer carers with the cost of milk formulas next season.

We aim for a kinder world where all life matters.

Thank you for caring.
