Wheelie Bin Sticker — Bennetts Wallaby

This is Bebe he is a young Bennett’s wallaby. His mother Pip was orphaned on a Tasmanian road but rescued and successfully raised and rehabilitated. Bebe is her first joey and he features with his mum whilst still in her pouch on sign number 56.

Pip and her second joey Lorna feature on the top and bottom of this page as they give their approval to the bin stickers. Free to come and go, the family of wallabies live on the carers property.

Our Wheelie Bin Sticker Project began with a desire to create something unique that would resonate with our community but we didn’t want to replicate existing designs.
We thank our friend Elleke Leurs for highlighting a safety initiative that used images of children on bin stickers developed by Brisbane City Council in 2016.

We were all inspired and set out to put a wildlife spin on the idea!

We are immensely grateful to professional wildlife photographer Matt Kemp for generously donating his stunning images. We thank him also for visiting to capture our local wildlife here at the sanctuary. Additionally, Reuben Hore-Waterhouse lent his computer skills to bring the project to life, and Progress Printing delivered exceptional print quality.

By rekindling this connection, we hope to cultivate a sense of appreciation and care for our wildlife.
